Pilates Mat Classes
Our one-hour Pilates mat classes will help you improve posture and develop core control, which is the ability to move effectively and efficiently by transmitting force from the body's center through the torso and limbs. Pilates-evolved mat exercises coordinate diaphragmatic breathing with properly sequenced co-contractions of the deep abdominal, pelvic floor, and spinal musculature. The exercises emphasize precise alignment and efficient sequencing of movement. There are countless different movement phrases, which are performed seated, standing, on all fours, or lying on your back, side, or front.
Pilates mat classes are open to all members on a drop-in basis at no cost. Check our Class Schedule for days and times.
Roller & Ring Classes
Improve your coordination, standing alignment, and balance in these one-hour classes, which integrate principles of core control with spine mobility. Each participant uses a foam roller and a Pilates resistance ring to develop efficient movement strategies in all positions—from lying on their back on the roller to standing on the roller. Roller and ring classes are open to all members on a drop-in basis at no cost. Check our Class Schedule for days and times.
