Group Exercise
Our philosophy for group exercise is all about working out smarter, not harder. With three group exercise studios and an Aquatics Center, we bring you the absolute best facilities and equipment possible, so you can get the most out of our progressive classes and specialty programs. Since 1977 The San Francisco Bay Club has defined the group exercise experience. Consistently at the forefront of fitness trends, we attract and hire only the best instructors in the business.
Your group exercise instructors are here to help you achieve your fitness goals in a safe and effective environment. We offer a variety of classes from TAC to cycle to sculpt, but not all classes are suitable for all fitness levels. To get the most out of your workout and to stay injury free, we encourage you to take a few minutes to read the class descriptions. If you have questions, speak to your instructor before class; he/she is here to help you.
Studio Etiquette
- Classes are a group activity; please adhere to your instructor’s routine.
- Please be on time. Warm-ups are for your safety, and they will help to keep you injury free.
- Please keep private conversation to a minimum.
- Please refrain from reserving spaces, and entering a class while another is in session.
- Please be considerate to your fellow members and wipe off all equipment after use.
- Please refrain from using person cell phones or PDA in class.
- Please wear cycle shoes only in the Cycle studio, not on the basketball court.
The group exercise schedule is subject to change without notice in order to address member feedback and participation levels. Classes with low participation level (less than ten) are subject to cancellation.
Please visit the Activity Information Center, located near the Squash Office, for upcoming specialty classes, workshops, and master classes. For holiday updates and class changes, call the group exercise hotline at 415.901.9377.
