Bay Club events are all about good living and learning.Living
At The San Francisco Bay Club good living comes in the form of plush parties, great hikes, ski trips, and everything in between. We take advantage of the best venues in town and the finest cultural offerings to show you a consistently good time. Join us for a night at the theatre. Watch the Warriors take on the Timberwolves. Or meet a small group of members at our traveling dinner party, Dinner with New Friends. We always make sure the fun keeps flowing.
Parties! When it comes to throwing parties, we go full tilt. That means plush black-tie galas, hip happy hours, and elaborate holiday celebrations. We host three Signature Parties a year, where we transform our gymnasium to match our theme and host 600-700 members and guests in grand style! At our annual Hawaiian luau, we dole out authentic island leis, tantalizing delicacies, and delicious mai tais. We also feature traditional Hawaiian music and dancers.
If smaller gatherings are more your style, then join us for our member appreciation Happy Hours held in the Club lobby. A live DJ spins music while we serve complimentary appetizers, wine, and Stella Artois beer. It's a great way to start your weekend early. And in case you aren't ready to go home when it's over, then just head out for the after party at one of the Club's bar/restaurant partners.
Learning
The Club offers learning opportunities that will satisfy all sorts of passions. And we invite only the best-qualified people to lead our workshops.
Food & Wine. We bring you America's premier chefs and wine educators to speak on a variety of topics. Past seminars have included: food & wine pairings, wines from specific regions, Mediterranean cooking, making sushi, and how to make the perfect Thanksgiving turkey. Of course, tasting and sampling is always a requirement.
Finance. We seek out industry leaders who can provide solid advice on topics that interest our members. Popular seminars in the past have included "You Can't Take It with You" and "Saving Strategies for Your Children's Education." Our instructors will empower you to take control of your financial future.
Languages. We offer beginning and intermediate classes in Spanish, Italian, French, and Japanese. To help you gain a deeper understanding of these languages, we integrate complementary cultural activities with our instruction. Our teachers are all native speakers and come from San Francisco's leading language and cultural institutes. They can also customize classes for business needs and travel enthusiasts.
Career-Oriented. When you're looking for ways to enhance your career or perhaps make a change, The Bay Club is there for you. We offer seminars on teambuilding in today's workplace, finding your dream job, how to write a winning resume, and interviewing from both sides of the desk, just to name a few.
Toastmasters. Whether you're a professional, a stay-at-home parent, student, or retiree, our Toastmasters Club will help you build the skills and confidence needed to effectively express yourself in any situation. You'll meet once a week to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and receiving and offering constructive evaluation.
Dance Classes. Our expert instructors will have you struttin' your stuff on the dance floor in no time. Try your hand at the tango, slim down with salsa, or swing to the big band beat!
